LA TOURNANTE
La Tournate is a concept strip club arranged in turning concentric amphitheaters envisioned for futuristic film sets such as Blade Runner or Fifth Element.
Each level is formed by an independent tray structure which rotate very slowly and continuously with a system of circular rails arranged under the floors. The trays are driven by wheels operated by independent electric motors. The plates rotate in opposite directions in respect of each other.
The spectator becomes an integral part of the scenography and thus enjoys different point of view throughout the evening. These platforms permanently alter the place we occupy in the space around us. The only fixed landmark is the centre point where the stripper dances.
